I can't believe it's been over a month since I last posted. Time sure flies when you're busy. I've been posting on my review blog and over at Manicure Mommas, but I guess this one sort of fell through the cracks. Things happen and we all know how that is.
So like Oprah, I thought I'd share some of my favorite things with you all. Unlike Oprah though, I won't be gifting y'all with them. Sorry. :P I will share links though if it's something you can purchase so you can get it for yourself. Now on with the list!
I absolutely LOVE these cutting mats from Williams Sonoma. They're color-coded to avoid cross contamination, easy to clean, easy to store, and perfect for transfering cut foods right to the pan or mixing bowl. I don't think I'll ever use a wooden cutting board again.
I purchased my set from Target, but I found the same ones on the Bed Bath & Beyond website. These knives are great. Don't let the inexpensive price fool you, they stand up to a beating. LOVE them!
These measuring cups rock! I love being able to see how much in in them from the top rather than just from the sides. They even sell the little guy below for your smaller measuring. ($3.99 from here or here) photo courtesy of OXO
YUM! This stuff is delish! I'm sure I could make a similar product at home, but it's easier for me to just grab a bag and munch. Seriously yummy stuff. You should be able to find it in grocery stores near you for about $2.XX a bag for the full size. Most convienence stores around here carry smaller bags for .99.
I know for a fact you can find these at most grocery stores, so I'm only posting a link to the main websites product information. These little things have kept me happy since Lent started. I know this will sound weird, but I stopped eating chocolate (GASP!) for Lent. What's that, but Tina you're not Catholic? Yes I know, call it a flashback from my teaching days in St. Louis. I felt guilted into doing it, okay. Regardless, these cookies are yummy and now I can't stop eating them. Sigh.
There are many differnt scents (10 at last count) available from Suave, but Lavender Vanilla is my personal favorite. You can get these from Target for about $1.97 or less.
I was sent this shampoo and conditioner to review and ended up falling in love with it. It smells great and works wonders for my hair. You can purchase it at most major box stores. The link above will send you to ULTA which is where I have found it to be the cheapest.
Before I was sent the Aveeno products, I used the above shampoo religiously. I still love the smell of it and use it from time to time. It's great for dry scalps and works great. You can find it in finer salons everywhere, as well as many beauty outlets. Prices range from $6 up to almost $30 depending on the size of the bottle you buy.
Having naturally curly hair, I need something to help tame the curls. Enter ISO's wonderful Bouncy Creme. It helps to keep the frizz at bay while still allowing my natural curl to shine though. This can be purchased at beauty retailers for about $7 - $10 a bottle.
My favorite things to watch on TV:

Mike Holmes is also my favorite Canadian right now. :) This man is a contractor with a great show on HGTV called Holmes Inspection. Listening to him and his team talk is just an added bonus.

The Amazing Race has been my favorite show for years now. I keep saying that one day I'm going to be on the show. I just need to convince Mr. Frog to get off his duff and audition with me.
While I'm talking about The Amazing Race, this is my favorite remaining team on this season's show (I miss Margie & Luke!):

Jet & Cord are cowboy brothers from Oklahoma. They came in 2nd two seasons ago and I hope they make it to the top this year.
and finally
My favorite YouTube video right now:
This video is hysterical. I found it earlier this month via Mrs. 4444 and I'm so glad she posted it. It's good to know my children aren't alone in messing up song lyrics. Give the video a view, you'll be glad you did. It's quite good and really funny. The guy holding the cards isn't too bad to look at either. :P
I hope you've enjoyed a look into a few of my favorite things. Hopefully it won't be so long before I post again.
