Friday Fragments are bits and pieces of your week that are usually
brief; too short for a stand-alone post, but too good to discard.
Collect humorous observations, "Heard" items, and other small gems and
put them together in a Friday Fragments post. Here we go....
That's all I've got for this week. Y'all have a great weekend!
- We got our tax return in. Now to just write that check to Maryland. *Sigh*
- There is nothing more frustrating than getting all set to listen to your Ipod than to discover that it was left on and the battery is all drained. *Sigh, again*
- B ended up not getting a cast for his finger. They decided to let the splint do the job instead. He'll wear it for another 2 weeks (3 weeks total) and then they'll see how it's doing.
- I spent all day Thursday getting work done on my car. While waiting, I came to realize that too many people own cell phones and have no sense when it comes to keeping their voices low. I now know all about a guy named John whose truck broke down, a guy that works for PNC bank whose Jeep windows fell out of his car, and a guy who refills the vending machine at the tire place and all his run-ins with the law over traffic incidents. Hmmmmm. I just noticed that all the offenders were men. Coincidence? I think not.
- Coldstone Creamery has a new flavor of ice cream; Chocolate Cake Batter. I had my favorite from there, Peanut Butter Cup Perfection, made with the Chocolate Cake Batter ice cream instead of regular Chocolate. Let me tell you if food could make a person go to that happy "O" place, this would definitely be what would make it happen. To coin a word from my dear bloggy friend Rachel, it's Tonguegasmic! Really it is.
- We got some new fish a few weeks ago. I bought 5 of them and now we're down to 3. The tadpoles love them because they make them smile. They're called Mickey Mouse fish and they look like this:
That's all I've got for this week. Y'all have a great weekend!

Oh, now looky there! You fishies too (and have somehow managed to euthanize 2 already)! Now I don't feel so badly about my oval vase. Hey, was that offensive enough to make a new friend? :)
Thanks for coming to visit!

I was in Target and a woman was walking down the aisle with her voice booming on her cell. I mean...like not even close to a normal indoor voice. Too much!
We got our tax return, too. :)
I am so going to try the ice cream. It was better when I didn't know it existed.

We FINALLY got our return a month later than expected because hubs messed up on our account number when he told them to just deposit it!
We also have fishies and have been relatively lucky with them, but I luv the mickey ones
Oh and that ice cream sounds YUMMO

I've never seen those Mickey Mouse fish before - that is wild! I occasionally ponder the idea of getting Kiddo's fish a friend (because his life seems really *boring* to me, swimming around in his tank alone) but we'd need to get a larger tank to do so, and *that* is something I'm not willing to do.
We have no Coldstone Creamery near us....until we move across town, if we ever sell our house! :D Yes, one more reason life will be better after we move - less commute for Hubby, better school district for Kiddo, and Coldstone Creamery for my thighs!
I have *totally* done the iPod battery drain thing before. Hubby is wholly unsympathetic; he just points out how there's a lock on the iPod that prevents battery drain. WhatEVER - how about it just senses that I don't *mean* for it to be on in my purse all day? Humph!
TGIF!

Those Mickey Mouse fish are GREAT!

It totally makes sense now why Heather is moving. It's why I moved to Raleigh from Wake Forest!
My favorite Coldstone flavor is cake batter...and will remain so. I tried the chocolate, and didn't care for it as much. I'm a huge chocolate person, but I prefer plainer ice cream with chocolate put in it (chocolate chips).

"I just noticed that all the offenders were men. Coincidence? I think not." This cracked me up, Smoochie!! :) The fish is SO fun! Coldstone is like frozen sin! Wish I knew how we are going to pay our taxes this year....

Those fish are awesome! And thank you, now I'm craving Coldstone. Hmm, maybe a special outing with my kids on this rainy Saturday?

Chocolate cake batter? Are you kidding me?! Cake batter is my favorite ice cream. Oh, it makes my mouth water just thinking about it! Unfortunately, the closest Coldstone is about 40 minutes away!!

Tonguegasmic! That is hilarious!
I just ran in to that problem with my iPod the other night. Oh how I was in the mood for some jams! *sob*
