Friday Fragments are bits and pieces of your week that are usually
brief; too short for a stand-alone post, but too good to discard.
Collect humorous observations, "Heard" items, and other small gems and
put them together in a Friday Fragments post. Here we go....
It's late and that's all I've got for this week! Y'all have a great weekend!
- We had a great time at the circus Thursday. It was fantabulous seeing all the joy on K's face throughout the show. She would just light up and smile the biggest smile at something silly the clowns would do. It was totally a priceless day.
- B came home from school on Wednesday and stuck a very swollen, purple finger in my face. He had hurt it playing flag football during gym class. After dinner, when we were shown he still couldn't make a fist, he was taken to the ER. Turns out, he has a radial fracture. He's in a hard splint for now with the probability of a cast next week. Joy.
- I'm just curious, but who's bright idea was it to add scent to feminine products? Especially a faux floral scent that is more reminiscent of Raid than flowers. Just saying. Refreshing scent FAIL.
- For the record when a green arrow turns yellow and then to a green circle, it doesn't mean you still have the right of way. You have to wait for the person coming toward you to pass you before you can make your left hand turn. That being said lady who was behind me at the light, if you ever honk at me again I will not hesitate to sit at the green light until just before it turns red and then go just to stick you there and piss you off more. I know the rules of the road and maybe you need to learn them.
- Anyone else watch Idol and surprised by who was sent home? I sure was.
- If you happen to live near one, Rita's will be doing their FREE Italian ice give away tomorrow from noon to 10PM. This is Rita's 17th year to give away their ice yumminess for FREE on the first day of Spring. No coupon is necessary, so remember to stop in for your freebie!
It's late and that's all I've got for this week! Y'all have a great weekend!

Yes, I was suprised and horrified that Michael did not go home *lol* I should really vote because I really should not get mad when I don't vote. But Alexis Grace did not do well enough to stay. Wasn't that song perfect for begging for the save though?:) I can't wait to go the circus in April, especially because it is free:) I haven't told the kids yet because they will ask me about it everyday and then I will get mad :)

I am with you on the scented feminine products. Not only do you not need your area smelling like flowers...they itch! (Was that TMI?!)

I didn't think Alexis deserved to go home. I've never heard the original Dolly version, but I thought Alexis did a fine job. Michael on the other hand, didn't.
And I'm with you on people who honk because they're too ignorant to figure out the rules of the road. Grr...

Not a fan of circuses; never have been, for some reason, but I'm glad you had fun!! They bring joy to so many :)
Too bad about B's finger :( I'm glad you took him in. I had a student whose mom I had to almost threaten before she took him (the next day) and found out that a bone in his hand was broken!
Have a great weekend :)

I'm a fan of Michael's on Idol so I'm glad to see he wasn't sent home, despite that his wasn't a great performance.

Don't get me started on rules of the road! It bugs me so bad when people don't follow them. There's an intersection that I drive home through that's having some construction. It's the exit ramp onto the road I live off of, and has 3 lanes: previously 2 left turn lanes and a lane that you can turn either way in. Now, they've changed the road that it's turning on into two lanes each way, so there's a big sign next to the right lane that says "right turn only." What do people do? Turn left out of it anyway! I was in the middle lane on Monday, and had to be assertive to show the people who were getting in my lane that it was rightfully my lane. Tuesday, I decided to avoid that and just be in the left lane. Guess what happened? The people in the middle lane went left instead of showing the people making the illegal turn who's boss! Ugh. Looks like I'll have to find a new way home until they get this fixed.
