B and I were in the car last week heading to get something to eat.
I'm jamming to a song on Jack when Paula Abdul's Forever Your Girl comes through the speakers. The following conversation then took place:
Me: Dude, Paula Abdul. I haven't heard this song in forever.
B is bopping his head to the rhythm when he stops suddenly.
B: Wait, what?
Me: What what?
B: Who is this?
Me: Paula Abdul.
B: You mean like American Idol Paula Abdul?
Me: Yes.
B: When did she make this song?
Me: Late 80's, early 90's.
B: Okay then. That explains it.
Me: ????
B: She totally doesn't sound like that now.
Me: And back then, she totally didn't look like she does now either.

Its funny when kids realize things like this...
like how we played with Barbies, Cabbage Patch Kids, My Little Ponies, etc when we were little. I always get "you mean you had this when you were a kid?!"

Did you hear Paula's song that she and Randy Jackson produced? I think Simon was right, she desperately wants to be famous!

I got a Cabbage Patch Kid for Christmas. It is still in the box and my daughter keeps asking me when I will open it. I say never, especially for her to mess it up. I love the smell of the dolls. I used to like Paula Abdul songs.
Bright! I need some sunglasses:)
