M had her Dr.'s appointment today. This was to be the one to determine if she needed the PIC line for her medicines.
After the blood draw (no teeth marks this time) and waiting for almost 2 hours (without having eaten breakfast-try calming a 6 yr. old down who is starving when you're starving too b/c you refuse to eat so you don't eat in front of her) we got the news.
HER NUMBERS ARE GOING DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is FABULOUS news! That means the oral medicine is working and most importantly-NO PIC LINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Hey, this calls for lots of exclamation points!) I was/am thrilled and so was/is M. The Dr. had pity on our starving selves and was kind enough to buy us donuts. He was going to just buy M one, but guess he wanted to be kind to me too. Such a nice man.
We go back in two weeks for another blood draw to again check the numbers. If they're all back to normal, we should be able to stop the medicine. If they're still a little up, we'll continue for another 2 weeks. Hey, we'll take it!
Again, thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. God is good!
